Learn before investing

Instead of going behind a financial advisor, we can choose our own assets to invest in. There are a lot of benefits if we do invest based on our own analysis. One thing is education. If we don't have anyone to guide us through investment and portfolio allocations, we are forced to learn. When we learn we grow intellectually and emotionally.

The intellectual part is easy to understand because when we feed our brain growth is inevitable. But the latter part might confuse some, how could we grow emotionally if we learn and invest. The answer is we have no one to impose responsibility upon. We have to bear the losses and take responsibility. Once we do that, we realize that we did something wrong and need to improve to get the desired result. This makes us realize in the long term that no one is perfect neither do we.

Observation is the key

Too much focused on work or anything is not good at all. Not for both personal and professional. Yet we repeat the same pattern. Insanely focused in a work could bring better results. But these might lead to filter out the things we think is not at all important. But it turns out that is wrong. Often the things we wish could have were the things we merely ignored. Relationship is an example. Relationship with children and spouse often get cold when obsessed with way too much work. It is very much easy to eliminate the non essential and focus on what's important. But as the life progresses, most people realise that is not true. Giving time to nurture the relations are important as much as finishing the task. In the end all that matters is how well the life gets better. Just merely by observing the things that we thought as irrelevant may seems like a great choice to have. You might rethink and crafts the better one.

Perfection paralysis

Perfection can be said as an illusion. It is never fully achievable. People strive to become perfect at things that they love. They try so hard and the process continues. It is like infinity, there is no identified boundary. We tend to go forward hoping to achieve perfection. But the journey pays some meaningful dividends. The reason we build teams is to execute our plans perfectly. It is to an extent, could be done by defining a boundary or target. But without the boundary, it may sometimes turn into frustration.
