Viral marketing

Startups can scale big with marketing done by themselves or by viral marketing. Viral marketing is the process where product reaches beyond the target number and become an obsession over the netizens ( considering majority of the new age startups are internet based). Viral marketing is done by people at it is completely free for the companies once they successfully implanted the idea. 

Marketing Placebo Effect

The marketing placebo effect is popular among marketers. It is by tricking the consumer to buy products by carving a need in them. It is not just filling the void. It is creating and then filling the void. Almost all the product costs a way lot more than the actual cost. In exchange for the sensational feeling left by the advertising, the consumer feels the same feeling while using it. This is the placebo effect. Although the product is not as good as what we found in the ads, the power of advertising makes it so. The prime example is the coco-cola. Everyone from the creator to the consumer knows that it is a toxic drink, the annual revenue is growing in a rapid manner and they made a 17% increase in the total revenue in YoY from FY20. The marketing placebo effect is, in most cases, good for the company and awful for the customer.

Content matters

The 10000 hours rule actually came to vent viral after Malcolm Galdwell’s book Outliers. This concept is not novel, but with Outliers it became easy to interpret and Gladwell made it really easy. And it went like viral. The marketing is not done by the author, instead people took it and spread it. It went through multiple levels of marketing. Word of mouth made it concrete and viral marketing proliferated it like a fire. People did gave the feedback and turned into feedback marketing. It travelled through almost all of it became a powerful movement. This is one such example of how markets and people accepts powerful and useful contents. I’m not talking about Outliers, but the movements happened with it.   In fact, sometimes these movements are created by the markers. They must have equipped enough to carry on. Services getting cheaper

 Devices which we use for our daily use are cheap than ever before. It is getting cheaper as time passes by. This is applicable to size. It is reduced more than ever. The evolution of these parameters from time to time makes the product more popular and advertisable. Really expensive products advertise very little often. The storage devices of computers of size 1 megabytes are only meant for universities and organizations in the ’80s. But within a few decades of rapid growth, a change took place drastically and enormously. Those devices in the ’80s having a size of a grown man were reduced to a size of a fingernail with 10000 times more than available storage. It got away cheaper. One of the things that the engineers working in the manufacturing of these devices is to reduce their size further and to make it cheaper. A product isn’t meant for everyone. Not everyone uses every product availability in the free market. Free market offers countless number of products. But these companies weren’t targeted at everyone. Every organization focuses on people whom they believe have the curiosity to experience the new. It's been around for centuries that you can't bribe or monetize your family. Not a tiny family with 4 members, but a larger one, whatever the number might that be. It's is common. Being cheated is common. We get cheated most of the time. Sometimes the effect is large. Only then we realise that we are being cheated. Cheating comes from false beliefs. We believe in the things that we thought to be the truth, at least we accepted as truth. By giving us the false information they are rectifying the probability of manipulation. It's easier to get convinced in this time. There is no scarcity for information. I mean made up false information. They are very likely to get hooked and there is plenty of them in the market. Only thing left to the marketers is to pick one and throw it in the face. You are most likely to engulf. Because the rule book say so, you must do so. You cannot turn your your face when you are nicely getting manipulated, the rule books say. Even the craftsman man who designed these b.s rule must've been frustrated by consequence of these rules made to the folks.
